Tahoe Quarterly, Lake Tahoe's premier luxury home magazine, features the Backyard Retreat in their 9th Annual Mountain Home Awards issue. Todd Mather, AIA provided the architectural design and coordinated all the structural engineering with Mr. Mick Nicklin, PE and Doug Gadow, SE of Gary Davis Group. Outdoor Living was conceived by Micah Langdon of South Lake Tahoe office of Design Workshop.

Todd Mather, AIA with ArcSitio Design, Landscape Architects, have fulfilled a 36-hour conceptual master plan for Tahoe Donner Association. Sundance Film Festival kicked off last night in Historic Park City, Utah. Congratulations to Scandia 360 General Contractor on the completion of the Old Town Duplex in time to rent the luxurious 4-bedroom units to these film-goers. Maggie Matthes commissioned Mr. Mather in 2006 for the challenging architecture but construction was held off until 2009. Mr. Mather worked with Gary Davis Group for structural engineering upon receiving approvals through Park City Municipal Corp for a Variance, Historic District Compliance, and Special Use Permit.

Congratulations to Lake Tahoe's Design Workshop for winning the highest Honor award at this year's Nevada American Society of Landscape Architects. Mather teamed with Micah Langdon of DW and GDG structural engineers to provide architectural services for this extravagant outdoor living space. The Jill Court: Backyard Retreat project included an outdoor kitchen, fireplace and living area, a hot tub with infinity edge, and a Sport Court, all on an extremely steep sloping rear yard.

Todd Mather, AIA is short-listed for a new speculative residence at Truckee, California's popular Martis Camp. The cabin-estate will be developed, financed and constructed by Linthicum, based in Phoenix, Arizona. The design team includes interior design by Id. 3 Interior Design.

Todd Gordon Mather Architect finished a private architectural tour of Florida Southern College located in Lakeland. An informal student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Todd has added this "Child of the Sun" facility of 12 buildings to his other FLW toured buildings including Talisein West, Marin Civic Center, Morris Gift Shop, Wingspread, his Chicago home/studio, and the SC Johnson headquarters.

Placer County Vintners Association held its soft opening in their new location at Lake Tahoe's North Shore tasting room located at Boatworks Mall. Todd Mather, AIA, provided ADA-accessibility compliance processing at Placer County.

Todd Gordon Mather Architect has been short-listed for master-planning, conceptural design, architecture and permit processing for a 20-acre Dressage Equestrian Center in Oakley, Utah. Teaming with Salt Lake City landscape architecture firm ArcSitio Design and Scottsdale, Arizona-based Amelia Kizerian Interiors, the facility would include indoor and outdoor riding arenas, paddocks, a heated barn with manager's apartment, a dressage court, and ubiquitous utilitarian buildings.

Park City, Utah's Kimball Art Center begins their process in hiring a "Starchitect" for a proposed addition and remodel. Todd Gordon Mather Architect provided architecture services for the 2000 historic renovation, and was Project Architect for an unrealized addition in 2006. TGMA is in discussions with one of the short-listed architects now providing a design concept for the Competition . See Mr. Mather's renovation.

San Francisco Bay-area artist Jeremy Mayer has agreed to provide the metal panel design for Tahoe City, California's proposed Lighthouse Bus Shelter designed by Todd Mather, AIA. The bus shelter is awaiting final funding and will be constructed in early 2010.
